The Must See Movie of the Year!

I saw several movies over the holiday break and I must say that a movie you must see sooner than later is Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire.

The film follows the story of a young man, Jamal Malik, from the slums of Mumbai who appears on India's version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire." Exceeding the expectations of the host and audience, Jamal is accused of cheating and interrogated by local law enforcement. The explanation of how he knew the answers leads us through the history of his short but full life. The movie is visually beautiful (filmed entirely in India) and, at times, very hard to watch.

I highly encourage anyone who has a taste for different cultures to see this ASAP! The soundtrack, by Golden Globe nominee A.R. Rahman, is also quite amazing!
