This is a new section of my blog called "Stupid People Should Be Shot." In it, I'll be putting video clips of people who say stupid things or are just plain ignorant.
Let's start off with a clip of Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-North Carolina) saying that Matthew Shepherd wasn't killed because he was gay, he was killed because of a robbery gone wrong.
In Foxx's words...
“I also would like to point out that there was a bill -- the hate crimes bill that's called the Matthew Shepard bill is named after a very unfortunate incident that happened where a young man was killed, but we know that that young man was killed in the commitment of a robbery. It wasn't because he was gay."
